My interest in wrestling started at Camp Tecumseh the summer before 7th grade, where I was introduced to the sport and won the Junior Wrestling Award. Throughout college, I plan to focus on my education as well as learn more about my interests, and possible career paths.  Continuing my wrestling career through college is important to me; I believe that the hard work wrestling requires can teach valuable lessons, build character and respect, and improve teamwork. The team aspect of wrestling has connected me with many people that push me to do better, and I believe in pushing others as well. 

My focus on academics while wrestling on a team is important -  I've always heard "It's student before athlete" through High School and I go by that.  I also have the ability to pick up moves fast and follow along with a group through experience at high-level practices.  I look forward to the challenges in taking my wrestling career to the next level while focusing on a quality educational experience.
