Brian Ambriz '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Brian Ambriz I don't come from a very wealthy background and that is also part of why I strive myself to be at a better state I'm hungry for success , for me along with my family. I have been wrestling since my 7th grade year in middle school currently a sophomore at Dorman high school. Ever since i started wrestling I loved it, the sweat dripping down my face and all physical grind I just love to compete and have plenty of heart for the sport. I'm not the type to accept failure and I will push myself to my hardest to achieve my goals whether it's in the classroom or on the glorious mat.

I have plenty skills useful on the mat but i keep my seven deadly moves in my arsenal. I specialize in a lot of "tap and go" shots and have a great left sweep single that I always finish to a takedown and if it doesn't; I make sure to switch to an ankle pick which works for me just as well. I am extremely talented when it comes to scrambling possibly the best on my team making it difficult for opponents to take me down. On top i do a lot of spiral chops to leg riding or result to a tight waist far ankle which is just as effective. I train consecutively on bottom and it is nearly impossible to keep me down if I'm not executing a granby then I'm switching, if I'm not switching I'm doing any other stand up. I'm pretty much prone to get an escape every time.

I'm very technical and get aggressive just enough to dominate but enough to keep control. This sport has become my life, a part of me I'm a wrestler in and out of the wrestling room. In the classroom I am just as dedicated i try and strive myself to finish homework and do my best to keep my grades up because I understand academics is key. I consider myself  being pretty mature I attend church on Sundays, try to help the community by doing things like help at the soup kitchen or other volunteer work.  I pretty much think of it as you get out what you put in so helping my family and others is just a plus one to my life I hope this really puts you one step closer to getting to know me thank you.
