I have been wrestling since the sixth grade. Wrestling is the first competitive sport in which I participated in. Wrestling has completely transformed me physically, mentally, and as a leader.I have always been fairly successful as a wrestler, collecting many metals and various awards throughout my career. I have obtained many awards from my team, such as our esteemed “Heart of a Saint” Award that is given to the wrestler that best personifies my school’s and team’s values and work ethic.
I strive to obtain the best grades possible and continually push myself by taking mostly Honors and Advanced Placement classes. I am also a Baritone in my high school’s award winning Chamber Choir.
In the later part of my wrestling life, I have had the opportunity to travel throughout the midwest wrestling at many different tournaments representing Team Tennessee, such as Greco-Roman and Freestyle Nationals. I have also competed in many camps, such as J Robinson Intensive Wrestling Camp, launching my wrestling skills further each summer. While I do not have the same early start as many incoming recruits, I feel as though I have the work ethic that would allow me to quickly adapt to a college room.
