Antonio Gonzalez '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Antonio Gonzalez. I started wrestling my sophomore year in high school fighting my way to varsity and now as a junior, I’m the Varsity team captain at Atascocita highschool. As a team captain, I lead by example while encouraging my teammates. I also lead practices for youths at a local club.

I currently have an accumulative GPA of 3.5 and am in the STEM program.

My goal is to get a quality education and become an NCAA champion in any division I compete in. I push the pace in everything I do, never letting off the gas pedal whether it's my academics or wrestling.

I come from a military family which has taught me to be disciplined, self-motivated, and hungry for success on and off the mat. I am coachable and eager to learn more moving to the collegiate level. I go above and beyond, going to two different clubs and attending summer wrestling camps and staying after practices, putting in extra work to improve my skills. I will continue to incorporate good work ethics in my college career in both academics and wrestling while encouraging my teammates to the top along with me.
