Personal Statement

I am looking to further my competitive wrestling career by attending a school that offers both challenging academics and competitive athletics to round out my college experience. I have been wrestling since 6 years old where I started in Shawnee Juniors in Medford, NJ and continued at Katy Area Wrestling in Katy, Texas and now I have been wrestling at Tompkins Highschool in Katy since freshman year. I have a lot to offer as a competitor and a person in any program. I have always been a hard worker and tenacious athlete and will work to grow throughout the rest of my high school and hopefully collegiate career.

I have spent the last 2 years training under World championship runner-up, and Sydney Olympian, Babak Nourzad. In the last 2 years under Nourzad, I received private training and made great strides in my wrestling. A master of scoring on your feet he has taught and changed how I train and view wrestling. Even after many years of wrestling he taught me more than I ever imagined and inspired me to be the best.
