virgina commenwea...If I had to choose three pictures that would describe my wrestling career, I wouldn't choose photos of me on a podium or me getting my hand raised. It would be those summer workout sessions when every one is tired of doing burpees and I'm going strong, not stopping. It would also be when everyone has gone home and I'm still there doing stance motion and sprints until I throw up. It would be those tough losses where I made a mistake in overtime and dissected the match later on film. I was born with high-functioning autism and I don't use it as a crutch, I use it as something to push me. I am in all normal classes and one honors class at my high school. After practice, I still find a minimum of two hours to work on schoolwork. My freshman year, I wasn't the best but I worked hard doing camps, tournaments, and clinics. I want to be the best wrestler possible and I work hard at It. I'm now a junior and I placed at every tournament we went to this year. I am most proud of the steps that I have taken to get me where I am today. Using my drive I know will fit into your program, and would be a benefit to the team because I like to train as if I'm in the finals match and I'm down by 1.
