Hi, I’m Ross. My story starts in Stuttgart American High School in Stuttgart, Germany. I was a freshman football player looking for a way to stay in shape for next year’s football season, and my JROTC instructor brought up to me the idea of wrestling. I took his advice and found a passion for that sport. Sophomore year was when I realized that wrestling was what I wanted to do when I go to college.
I am an incredible asset to every team; any of my coaches or instructors can tell you that. I am very coachable. I have a ridiculously sickening work ethic and I know how to keep a group from falling apart. Most of the time, I do what is right for the team I am a part of. Most of the actions I take are intended to make better out of what I have, or as a team, what we have.
This year, I intend to make it to the state tourney. I intend to maintain all A’s in my grades. I intend on working even harder than I have this year. I intend to use all my potential in any circumstance. I intend to be a better student-athlete than anyone I meet.
Academically, I will focus on what I want to do when I go to college. I hope one day to be a data scientist, and write code for an Artificial Intelligence program. My alternative route would be a statistician and help with a business’ finance somewhere in England or Germany. I want to get a major in mathematics and a minor in computer science.
As a wrestler, I have currently made it to the state finals once, placed once, and moved to the United States as a junior. I placed 6th in my first tourney at the Washington Opener.
Now, I will strive to accomplish any task that comes my way and overcome any mental or physical boundary that stands before me. When a task needs to be completed, the assignment will be done.
