Hello, my name is Matt Feia, I am currently in 10th grade and wrestle at Hudson High School in Hudson Wisconsin. I started wrestling in kindergarten because the person I look up to most, my older brother, was a wrestler. I immediately fell in love with the sport. Amidst my extra curriculars such as choir, art, and football, wrestling always stood out to me as something I was truly passionate about. Later I decided to dedicate myself to it. In 8th grade I started training year round. My freshman year I was a full time starter for Hudson High and finished the season with 18 wins and as a sectional qualifier.The next off season I trained with the Wisconsin cadet freestyle team, I later won a wrestle off to qualify for the Wisconsin Cadet Freestyle national team and compete in Fargo. Currently I am enrolled in the S.T.E.M. Academy program which accepts 75 kids per class entering their sophomore year. I have set many goals for myself in athletics as well as academics that I am driven to achieve in the remainder of my high school career. My academic goals include finishing with a minimum GPA of 3.5, earn at least a 550 on the SAT, and additionally earn a score of 28 on the ACT. A few of my athletic goals include earning at least 100 total wins, making the all conference roster at least twice, holding a winning percentage of 75% or higher, first qualify for the state tournament, earned a spot on the state podium,and finally finish my career as a state champion. It has always been a dream of mine to pursue wrestling at the college level while pursuing a career in the science field. I am driven to make this dream a reality. I am prepared to work my hardest until I reach my fullest potential
