My name is Keenan Makowski, I am a recruiting coordinator at NCSA college recruiting and was shown interest in three out of the four sports I played in high school at Montini Catholic in Illinois. I went on to play college rugby at the University of Indiana and captained the team a few times as an upperclassman.
For academics, I studied sports marketing and management in the School of Public Health at IU. I completed my school required internship with Flawless Hoops in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. This was a not-for-profit youth and amateur basketball organization that was an amazing experience to be a part of and help promote them for a whole summer.
While I played rugby at IU, the team went on to win the B1G 10 Championship five times. I was also a part of teams that took 5th place, 4th place, 2nd place, and 5th place in the National Collegiate Rugby National Championship tournaments.
I am excited to be a member of NCSA because of the idea that I am going to be able to help educate families on the recruiting process. I am also looking forward to the chance where my own personal story or experience can help a family in their own process as well.
Growing up I worked in construction, grounds crew, and delivery driving, so I am also very excited to start my career in the sports industry. Being involved with sports after my own career was always a goal of mine, so I am excited to take this enthusiasm into NCSA.
