What the Coaches are Saying...
Mar 15, 2019

“To learn more about the Grove City Men’s Soccer program, check out this interview with Coach Treg Lunger: https://team-promo.helpscoutdocs.com/article/516-grove-city-college The Grove City College men's soccer program seeks to equip young men with the necessary tools to have a positive impact as players and more importantly as people. In the short term this impact should be on the field and on campus. In the long term this impact will be as friends, leaders, workers, husbands, fathers and men of God. As a result, we are looking for players who are serious about growing their faith and who can handle the high expectations and demands put forth in our program. We are building something that aims to be an irreplaceable fixture on campus, in Grove City and within the soccer community. Our program is committed to training in and out of season through team training sessions, individual technical and tactical training, weight lifting and speed and agility exercises. College athletes are expected to work hard on their game and fitness year round, thus our team has a one mile fitness test during the traditional and spring seasons. Within the season we specifically train with a high technical demand using both functional and small sided game training that helps us prepare for our fast paced style based on possession and transition. Our aim is play the game in a manner that is both entertaining and effective all while prioritizing play of the team over the individual.”
