Colin Shea '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Colin Shea. I play for VDA (Virginia Development Academy) which competes in the ECNL (National League) and is ranked #33 in the country. On my varsity team, I was named captain in my junior and senior year (my school season is in the fall). I also led our team in goals and assists and was named Regional Player of the Year in my junior year and have led my team in goals and assist thus far in my senior year.  

From a young age, I have always enjoyed having a ball at my feet and working on my game in some way. I pride myself in being a hard worker, making my teammates and me better, being consistent in my technical abilities with the ball, being punctual to practices and games, being disciplined, and being respectful. 

Academically, I have maintained a 3.75 unweighted GPA as well as scoring a 1210 SAT score. 

Ecclesiastes 9:10 says "Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might." I try to apply this verse to everything that is important to me. From my academics to my soccer to all my other extracurricular activities, I do my best to live this verse out; it is a motivation to me to always do my best in everything I do.
