“Just like the swimming environment, the academic culture is such that you will be challenged to reach your academic potential. With just under 2000 undergraduates, Connecticut College offers a close faculty-student ratio and personal attention, which is so important for a meaningful college experience. Over the past few years, we have made great strides in becoming a NESCAC and NCAA contender. This past year alone, the Men’s Team broke 10 college records en route to a 3rd Place finish at our NESCAC Championships and 19th Place finish at the NCAA Championships. Our women eviscerated the record book achieving a 5th place finish in the NESCAC, but a 15th place finish at NCAA Championships. Coach Benvenuti has been named NESCAC Coach of the Year three of the last 4 years in recognition of the team’s outstanding performances. Three men and six women achieved All American Status (Top 8 at NCAAs) and all nine of those honorees also achieved Academic All American status (3.5 GPA and attend NCAA Championships). We have an incredibly talented group of incoming freshmen lined up for this current year and we are confident we can continue our ascension within NESCAC and NCAA. We are looking for swimmers who are highly ambitious, who want to excel, be challenged, and take their swimming and our team to the next level. It’s an exciting time to be a Camel and if you think Conn is a place you are interested in, we urge you to consider planning a visit to our beautiful campus in New London, CT.”
