What the Coaches are Saying...
Sep 11, 2018

“Our basketball program is definitely more relaxed than most college athletic programs. We practice about 4 times a week unless games fall on practice days, and we play about 20 games per season. We are serious about building a good basketball program, but the priorities at Union definitely place academic excellence and professional success at a higher level than athletic prowess. Athletes who would love to continue playing basketball competitively in college while gaining a quality education that launch them into a successful professional career are the students that thrive in Union College athletics. We pride ourselves on our academic excellence, warm personal atmosphere on-campus, and an environment that challenges students to be the best they can be in all aspects of life. Again, players who are most serious about being successful in their careers, but love basketball and want to compete as long as possible before real life hits are the players we would love to build our program around. If these priorities fit what you're looking for and you'd like more information about the basketball team specifically (how we run the dribble drive offense and the pac-line defense, specific skills we are looking for, etc.) please contact me! I look forward to hearing from you!”
