Billy Kittrell '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'10" junior at Murphy High School and I have been playing for them for 3 years now. I am currently on the varsity team and I play 3rd base, 2nd base, and pitcher. I work hard on and off the field. I am enrolled in AP classes and currently have a 3.82 GPA and a 24 on the ACT. I am continuing to hit the books hard to bring both of these up. In my mind, there is always room for improvement. I can bring hardwork, determination, and passion to a team. After practice I stay after to take extra groundballs, and when I can, I arrive to practice early so I can get extra cuts in the cage. I hustle on and off the field because it is a priviledge to step onto a baseball field. When I make a mistake I try it again until I get it right. I never give up and I always keep my head up. I will attend any college that will accept my determination in getting an education and my desire to play college baseball. I intend on majoring in Business Management and possibly having a second major in the engineering field. I live with my mother who is a single parent. She has been wonderful to me throughout my life and all I want to do is make her proud. Financial aid would greatly benefit me and take the economic strain off my mother who, in my eyes, has done more for me than I would have ever imagined. My ultimate goal is to obtain a degree while doing what I love most, playing baseball.
