Hello, my name is Evan Carter Dees and I am going into my senior year at Beauregard High School in Opelika, Alabama. I hit and throw right handed. My primary position in high school is varsity catcher; however, during the summer season, playing travel ball for the East Coast Sox, I play the outfield, primarily playing in left field or center field. I am an extremely hard worker, always trying to get better than my competition by any means necessary. Whether that entails waking up at 4:30 AM in order to workout before school or if that means spend late night in the cage honing my craft, I'll do whatever it takes to become better at the sport I love. This drive carries into my academic life as well, where I strive to hold the number one position in my class and to excel in my studies. Up to this point this drive I posses has led me to a 4.26 GPA and a 35 on the ACT. I am also a team player and a leader; this can be seen in many aspects of my game, whether that is from my batting performance, cheering on teammates, or more specifically from this highschool season, being hit by pitch 19 times in a 28 games. I would like to further my baseball career at a great acacemic school, focusing on an engineering major and then attending law school. Thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement.
Respectfully, Carter Dees
