Personal Statement
The thing that has influenced me the most was being sick as a young child. I was told that I would never be able to play sports. My parents always told me I could do whatever I wanted to as long as I worked hard. From that experience I learned that hard work is required to achieve what I want. I became interested in baseball when I was four years old because baseball was the one sport I was allowed to play and my older brother played baseball. I fell in love with the game the first time I played. Playing baseball has taught me that I can overcome anything through hard work and determination. I have also learned that I can be a leader to others when I share my story with them.
My academic goals for high school are to graduate with honors and to test high on my ACT so I can get into college. My academic goals for college are to get a bachelors degree in business and eventually get a masters degree in business. I would like to focus on business management. I have a certification in Microsoft PowerPoint. I am very good with computers. I have several characteristics that would make me a valuable asset to your baseball program and more importantly to the school. I work hard. I don't quit. I am very intelligent and learn quickly. I am very flexible.
