Personal Statement
I am a 5’11’’, 205 lb. third/ first baseman at Charleston High School in Charleston, Arkansas. I have a 4.0 GPA and scored a 28 on my ACT . As a Freshman, I batted 4th in the lineup, earned All-Conference, and was named the team Offensive MVP for the 2017 season. As a Sophomore, I batted 3rd in the lineup, earned the team Hit By Pitch and RBI awards. As a Junior, I batted 3rd in the lineup, and earned All-Conference.
On the field, my goal is to do whatever it takes to help my team win. I will consistently work hard to make that happen. I know that my actions, both on and off the field, are a direct reflection of my coaches, team, and school and I will always carry myself respectfully. I want to be a leader and a positive influence on my team, and in my community. I believe I have a high baseball IQ, but also know there is a lot of room to grow and I look forward to growing both physically and mentally at the college level.
Academics are extremely important to me. In the classroom, my goal is to attend a college where I can excel academically, pursuing a degree in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or sports medicine.
In my community, my goal is to give back. I coach a second-grade basketball team, a K-2nd grade flag football team, umpire little league baseball games, and volunteer in my community whenever I can. In my spare time, I like to be outdoors hunting and fishing.
Ever since I was 3 years old in my first ever baseball game, I've dreamed about the opportunity to play at the college level. I've learned so much about myself and life through baseball. I am very excited about taking the jump from the high school level to the college level in the future.
