2022-23 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-American
I learned at an early age to tackle and overcome adversity. At age 10, I developed complex regional pain syndrome (CPRS) in my left leg. The constant pain was excruciating and I was unable to walk, move, or even touch my leg. I faced the prospect of never being able to play sports or possibly even walk again. Through months of agonizing daily physical therapy I was gradually able to reduce the pain, walk again, and eventually return to normal activities. I am extremely blessed to have fully recovered. Through this experience I gained mental toughness, learned perseverance, built confidence to overcome obstacles, and mastered the ability to work through pain and discomfort. All are important qualities that led me to become a catcher.
I have been described by others as a “gamer” who “plays above his tools” and “has a high baseball IQ.” I believe my greatest strength is work ethic and I am highly motivated both academically and athletically. I am working to get better at mentally dealing with failure and consistently maintaining a “next pitch” focus. From a recent scouting evaluation…
Brock is a hard working and talented catching prospect that is a team player. Behind the plate, Brock showed leadership skills and was a grinder. His mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and has great knowledge of the game.
I would like to continue my education and playing career at a high quality academic institution with a competitive baseball program. All I ask for is the opportunity to prove myself and earn your trust and respect as a player and person. Let’s build something great together!
