I am a kid from a small town with big dreams. Despite the problems that the world is facing, I have goals of making a difference, but living in a small city makes it a challenge. I dream of attending college and one day changing the world for the better. Through my involvement in the band (trumpet for 6 years) , the student body (ASB president), academics (#1 ranking in class all four years), and public speaking, I hope to better prepare myself for the large task at hand. Attending college and playing college baseball would be a dream come true, and a step toward changing the world.
I have played baseball since age 5. Due to Covid, I did not have a junior baseball season, and did not have a chance to create any video. I recently started attending Optimum Athletes, to develop pitching speed and create some video. In just three months, I was able to increase my velocity to 86 MPH with consistency, and feel like I have much more I can do.
I am coached by Michael Olivarria, a former catcher for Sacramento State who played in the baseball Division II College World Series in 1986 and was inducted into the Sacramento State Baseball Hall of Fame. I am a catcher being coached by an experienced catcher, and since he starting coaching our team has led us to the Mother Lode League Championships in 2018 (3rd) and 2019 (1st). We also went to the Sac-Joaquin Sectionals in 2018 (2nd) and 2019 (3rd). Our season was basically cancelled in 2020 due to Covid, and we are now back out practicing again for the 2021 season.
