Jackson Lind-LeBuffe '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5 11 1/2 senior first baseman from Santa Monica, CA. I also play third base and the outfield. I have 4 years of club experience, played 3 years of varsity was a varsity starter by the beginning of my junior year. My team has won the League Championship the last 2 of 3 years. In the recent high school season I batted .284 the first half, and .442 the second half of the season to make second team All-League. My slugging percentage was .500 and my on base percentage .461. I am a good fielder, particularly at first, and I stole six bases in six attempts. My coaches characterize me as a guy who 'always shows up ready to go, doesn't complain, and always works hard'. My current club team is the East L.A. Dodgers baseball organization. I have a 3.9 GPA, a 2200 SAT score and over 300 hours of community service, volunteering in Los Angeles youth camps and school programs, soup kitchens and health organizations. It is my dream to play baseball in college and I am looking for a great college or university which combines quality baseball with outstanding academics. I believe my best fit would be at the D III level, and I am interested in a selective school in the east or midwest.
