Jaxyn Ortiz '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello coaches, my name is Jaxyn Ortiz. I am a 18 year old young man who attends Foothill High School in Redding, CA. I have been playing competitive baseball for as long as I can remember and I would die for this game. I am 6'1" 160 pounds and I am working on gaining more and more day by day.

I am the starting catcher for Foothill High Varsity Baseball and play travel ball year round. I've traveled to places like Medford, Oregon: Reno, Nevada: Carson City, Nevada: Los Angeles, California and many more places in California. I am a catcher at heart but am willing to work in any position needed, I have experience in the outfield and the corner infield.

Academically, I am a hard working student who has gotten no lower than a C in class. My Junior and Senior year I have gotten nothing but a 4.0 due to my weighted classes. I am a student first then an athlete.

Playing baseball for Foothill has taught me to represent my team well with everything I do, whether it is in the classroom, driving around town, or just eating out. I always represent my team and teammates well.
