I would be a good addition to a team because I am a team player. I will be happy to play any position that a coach feels that I am best suited for based on my skills and abilities as a baseball player. My starting position is catcher and I also play 3rd base as a starting position. I also play middle infield, outfield, and closing pitcher when needed so I am very versatile and have a solid understanding of my responsibilities at these positions. I understand that the team comes first and I am willing to help the team be successful in any way possible.
I live on a small ranch in the high plains of Colorado so am used to having responsibilities to the well being of the livestock. Due to living on the farm I have learned that hard work pays off and that hard work and discipline is what it takes to be successful. I also have my own business making wood bats and repairing gloves for teammates, friends, and others.
I have learned that being consistent, and attentive to the coaches direction, with my efforts on the field during practice will increase my chances of success on game day. I am a solid hitter and consistent in my defensive play. I am willing to work hard to improve my skills, as well as my strength and conditioning, to become the best baseball player I can be.
I do well at focusing on my schooling when it is time to study and do my homework. I am currently maintaining a B average, or better, in all my classes. I would like to learn a skilled trade and continue on to get a degree in business management.
