Jaiden Monger '21 Recruiting Profile

My  name is Jaiden Monger and I am a setter/opposite who is willing to play anywhere as needed.  I cannot put into words how much I love volleyball.  I am a very good student athlete who handles school and sports very seriously.  If I’m not doing school work I’m either in the gym or watching film.  Although I love volleyball, I am a 3 sport athlete.  I play basketball in the winter and compete in track in the spring.  In the future, I would either like to help people through nursing or athletic training.  Although those choices are ideal, I’m still interested in other medical training. 

I am a very smart player and hustle everywhere on the court.  Being a setter my whole volleyball career I have learned to read the court, my teammates, and the other team to give my team the best opportunity to be successful.  Not only can I set, but I am a very strong defensive player.  I love digging the “impossible” hits and am willing to throw my body on the ground to save a ball no matter what point, match, or game it is.  As my head coach says, “Play to win, don’t play not to lose” and that is what I live and play by.
