Matthew Lighthall '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a hard working young man, on and off the field. I will show up to any program to compete and fulfill my role. I have overcome many setbacks already in my life that have made me a stronger person. As to my athletic ability,  I push myself to not be better than my teammates, or competition but to be better than myself the previous day. With my success, I know there is more to improve and I should never be content with where I am at. I take being a student to the game very seriously, so I study the game and anything my coaches suggest, I listen and apply that to my next rep. Academically, I fell behind in my early high school years but have worked in the classroom to improve. I have applied my hard work in the classroom the past year, and plan to continue that into my senior year to be the best student-athlete I can possibly be.
