Personal Statement
My end goal has always been to play for a college program where I feel successful and happy. This sport is everything to me; my love for volleyball and my teammates is what drives me to work hard on and off the court. I believe that my passion and drive sets me apart from the next player in character. In terms of athletics, I'm always working to become more well-rounded and try to perfect the technical details before putting it all together. I am a natural leader and strive to be a player my teammates can turn to for support and encouragement.
I also believe that hard work sets me apart in the classroom as I maintain a 4.6 cumulative GPA so I can have many options for colleges. I try to challenge myself in the classroom with AP and Honors classes. I am interested in science because it is applicable to real life and the field is constantly changing with new information. My goal is to pursue a major in either Biology, Psychology, or Pre-Med--I know I want to help others but I'm not yet sure which path to take in order to do so.
Since I began playing recreational volleyball in third grade to now playing year-round high school and club, I believe I have grown enormously both as an athlete and person. I hope I can continue to grow in the future through a college volleyball program that's the right fit for me. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile!
