Personal Statement

Hello Coach!

Thanks for taking the time to check out my profile. Now that I've started my junior year of high school, I am interested and motivated to sort out my next steps for college. I have definitely enjoyed visiting and learning about certain baseball programs and schools as I search out the best fit for me.

I am a committed student with a 4.1 GPA. I really believe that my work ethic transfers back and forth between the field and the classroom. As a student athlete, I have had to learn how to manage my time wisely, so that I can put in the time that's needed to accomplish the goals that I've set out for myself.

Playing baseball in college is important to me. I am primarily a RHP , SS and 1st baseman. I am playing on the Triple Crown Colorado 18U club team this summer and Fall.   I'm doing my best to get to as many prospect and ID camps as possible. I just turned 17 and I'm 6'4" and 190 pounds, so I'm focused on lifting and getting stronger.

Right now, I am part of my high school's Business Academy which allows me to take a set of targeted classes, participate in various internships and get a preview of the business world.  I plan to study Business in college, so I'm also looking for a school with a strong Business Program.

The learning environment and culture of the school is very important to me, because I am a relational person who loves to connect with the people on my teams and in my community.  Even though I put my head down when I need to,  I also like to have fun and enjoy the people around me.

I look forward to connecting with you and learning more about the school and program where you have chosen to invest your time. Please feel free to reach out to me through NCSA or directly at [email protected] or my cell number is 720-437-1800.

Talk to you soon,

Macy

  • Camp/Event
  • Kansas State University Prospect Camp
  • 7/24/19 to 7/24/19
  • NOTES: Good arm action; little stab on the backside of the arm action, but plays well; has a good set-up and the swing is good; shows bat speed presently; good length to the body on the mound; ¾ slot; has good feel for spin and the CB has good shape. Try establishing better repeatability with the delivery; overall good stuff. Looking forward to following his progress.
  • Camp/Event
  • Matt Brunson Pro Day Combine
  • 7/23/19 to 7/23/19
  • Macy Barnhart: Pro-Day Camp workout on July 23 showed many strengths...7.0-7.2 x 60 times with 4.0 x 30 splits. INF actions and arm strength was on a par with the college game. 1.8-2.1 pop times from deep SS showed good footwork and actions with a quick release. Hitting skills continue to improve with LD gap power production. Bat exit speed was recorded at 88-91 MPH with solid load, swing path, contact and finish from a balanced approach. Line drive production to the CF fence was consistent over 10-15 swings. Raw power potential is very evident. With continued maturity, this 2021 graduate will continue to develop into a draft projectable player.
