Jayce Sanchez '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jayce Sanchez. I am a 2026 graduate and getting ready to start my senior year at Riverdale Ridge High School in Thornton Colorado (5A).

I am a seasoned player earning my first varsity baseball letter award as a freshman and will be a 4-year varsity player (3-year starter) during my high school career. My primary position is 3rd base but I'm a very versatile player. I’m also a right-handed pitcher, I play 1st base, and with my recent club team I've started at shortstop all summer.

Throughout my High School career, I’ve earned Max Preps player of the game several times, been an All-Conference Honorable mention as a sophomore, and last season (junior year) was selected to the All-Conference 2nd team.

Last season overall I led the team in On Base Percentage at 0.500 and was in the top 3 in several other categories below: 3rd Batting Average = 0.356, 2nd Earned Run Average = 2.42, 3rd Run Batted In = 18, and 2nd Doubles = 5

I’ve also earned an Academic letter award, and I finished my junior year with a 3.8 GPA and I’m a multisport athlete playing football earning my 2nd year varsity letter last year as well.

Recently I played in the 2025 Pathway Prospect Games in San Diego at Tony Gwynn Stadium. This is an exclusive, invite-only event designed to showcase 132 of the nation’s top uncommitted players with over 50 college coaches in attendance. I was a top performer there and was named to the All-Tournament team.

I am a natural leader and a very coachable athlete. I can play almost anywhere on the field and always have a positive attitude and willing to step in anywhere see fit to help the team. I acknowledge that I should not only be evaluated by my successful play on the field, but also how I handle the hard times and failures as well.

In my free time I like to go fishing, play video games and spend time camping with my family.
