Ever since I was a little kid, I always wanted to play at the highest level of baseball possible. I quickly realized it takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and time. Hard work consists of hitting, even when practice is over, fielding ground balls or trying to perfect my swing whenever possible. This is necessary while keeping my grades up at the same time. In my freshman year of high school, I made the high school baseball team and had the opportunity to play at the JV/Varsity level. I realized that most kids don't get a chance to play at this level at that young of an age. Every day, I listen to my coaches and do whatever is necessary to become a better ballplayer and person. Even though I am only a rising Sophomore, I strive to be a leader on and off the field, knowing that it will make me a better person as an adult. My academics are equally as important to me. I was rewarded by my hard work, as I made the honor roll every term during my freshman year and had a chance to play at the varsity level.
My goals for my Sophmore year are to again make the Varsity team, be a starting player and be a leader to incoming younger players. Academically, I will continue to work hard and hope to turn honors into high honors.
