Jake Duda '25 Recruiting Profile

As a baseball player, I consider myself to be a high contact, productive at bat type of hitter.  I have demonstrated ability to go opposite way and drive the ball to all fields.  In the field, my primary position is 2B, but can play other infield positions. Defensively, I have been told by multiple coaches and trainers that I have above average hands and play reliable defense.  I take pride on my baseball IQ.   It was very important to me to have a productive at bat approach, and be smart yet aggressive on the bases.  I am constantly watching the pitcher to see if I can pick up any advantages while my teammates are at the plate.

To give a little background on my high school playing career,  I made the varsity team as a sophomore.  During that season, I moved around the infield and led the team overall in fielding chances.  I also had the second highest contact rate among the starters.
