Derek Chouinard '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Derek Chouinard and I am the catcher for the South Windsor High School Varsity Baseball team. I also play for the South Windsor American Legion program as well as the All Pro Rebels Baseball Club out of South Windsor, Connecticut.  

I am pursuing a college with a strong academic program as well as a competitive athletic program.  My goal is to play college baseball and pursue a degree in History Education

At a very young age, I’ve had a Derek Jeter quote hanging on my wall which reads “there may be people who have more talent than you, but there's no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do - and I believe that”. I have emulated this quote both as an athlete and as a student. I am dedicated to the game of baseball, I strive to improve every day.  I am a leader on and off the field and my dream is to play college baseball.
