Finnegan Knowlton '27 Recruiting Profile

I have been motivated to play baseball at a high level since I was four. Twelve years later and I am still chasing that dream of being a LHP on the big stage. Currently I am looking for a college to call home. As a person I am very hard-working, coachable, kind, and humble. On the field I take pride in my game and always play at one-hundred percent through every inning. I always work for what I achieve and will continue working even after my goals have been achieved. During these past two seasons at Notre Dame High School I have played varsity baseball. As a freshman I was our teams starting first baseman and 8 hitter as well as one of our starting pitchers.  Throughout that season I faced extremely tough competition and battled, one of the teams I pitched against was Daniel Hand High School. Our team won that game and later in the season Daniel Hand would go on to win the SCC title. During my sophomore campaign I was our teams number 2 pitcher and starting first baseman. I had some tremendous starts including one against Staples High School where I only allowed two hits. Staples was a team who was highly ranked in the state throughout the duration of the season. During the summer I play for Grind Baseballs “Carolina” team. I am one of the pitchers on our team as well as the starting first baseman. Something that separates me from others is my work ethic. I am always trying to find ways to improve my craft whether it be pitch location, pitch shapes, or mechanics. Although I put so much effort into baseball it doesn’t end there, in the classroom I always strive to be a high A student. I will never quit on a challenge but instead I will work. In my two years of high school so far I have been a high honor roll student during all four semesters, and I strive to keep that trend going. For my junior year instead of taking all honors classes like my freshman and sophomore years I am taking every AP class available. My current high school GPA is a 4.3.
