My education is extremely important to me, as is baseball. Baseball has been my passion since I could pick up a bat. This sport pushes me to not only be the best player I can be, but also the best person I can be. An essential part of being on a team is supporting everyone as best I can to allow for a successful season. I vigorously compete with myself to be prepared for my future and I see baseball as being a big part of that. I have always viewed baseball as part of my education, whether I am playing well or struggling on the mound, I see this as equivalent to getting an “A” on an assignment or receiving a less than acceptable grade on a test. With this said, I believe resiliency is an important quality in an athlete. I am always aware that tomorrow is another day, and even if I have played the best I ever have today, I dig down and continue putting in the work, to ensure even better results tomorrow.
