My name is Robert Malmgren.
I am currently attending school at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. I am a Junior and will graduate in the class of 2027. I play middle infield.
My start in baseball was hitting off a tee in our basement when I was almost three years old. Both my Mom and Dad would take turns putting the baseball on the tee. From that point on it's always been about baseball for me. At nine years old I started travel baseball. I've played on my town team, New Castle Mustangs and two club teams: ProSwing Pride and NorthEast Pride. They were three totally different groups but there was always great coaching and great teammates.
When I was younger I also played soccer and basketball when I was in grades 6th through 8th.
Throughout my many years playing ball I attended numerous baseball camps at IMG. I hold the record for the youngest camper and most camp appearances.
Today, when not playing baseball, I enjoy lifting weights, cross fit training and boxing.
I will continue to train and study hard. I hope my strong focus and determination will help me reach the next level in the classroom and on the baseball field.
I'm looking forward to another great year of playing baseball at IMG.
