Matt Mackey '16 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to start on a college baseball team.  Although I am very competitive, I am very coachable.  What makes me a good candidate for any baseball team and differentiates me is that I am an unselfish leader, have a good work ethic and temperament.  I am physically strong and have always been in the lead for offensive awards on the teams I have played on.  In the 2015 season I lead the County in home runs and am hitting .404 from the 3-hole in the batting order.

I am a dual sport athlete, starting at defensive end on Varsity for Manatee High School.   We made it to final four in the State last year, losing to the eventual State champion.  In addition, I have always maintained good grades and have a high GPA and take advanced/AP courses.  I do intend on graduating college with a four year degree and attending graduate school.

Physically, I eat healthy and work out on a consistent basis.  I am always seeking ways to improve myself.
