Personal Statement
I started playing baseball when I was 6 years old at Spring Hill Dixie baseball. I am now a senior at Nature Coast Technical High School. In the last 10 years of playing baseball, I have grown as a player, teammate, student, and person. I have also taken on the role as one of the leaders on our team. Lessons I have learned playing baseball are: you must work hard every day, always give 100%, and learn and grow from your mistakes.
Some accomplishments that I have been a part of were winning the 2015 Dixie Jr. Boys World Series in 2015 with my team. After being runner up in 2014, going back with a new attitude and perspective gave us the drive we needed to win. Spring of 2018 our high school team made it to the final four of the State Championship. After winning three District Championships in a row, making it to the final four was a huge accomplishment. Though we lost in the semifinals it taught me that anything is possible when you work hard and play as a team.
I want to pursue my bachelor’s degree in computer science while continuing to play baseball at the college level.
