Personal Statement
Ever since I first started playing baseball at a young age, I knew that I would want to be able to one day play at the next level- college baseball.
First of all, my education is the same priority level if not higher than my priority of sports; it always has been and always will be. You can count on me to put in 110% in the classroom AND on the ball field. My collegiate goals consist of getting a business or engineering degree and being a pitcher my coach can put into the game (starting, relieving, or closing) and have full confidence in me to get the job done. Not only do I put all I have into what I'm doing, whether it be baseball or school, I want my character to demonstrate a high level of integrity and values that are evident to those around me. It's important to me to treat others fairly, respectfully, and to build friendships with my coaches and fellow teammates - to let them know that they can count on me to be there for them; whether it be picking them up on the side of the road because their car broke down, helping with school work, or just listening. Whether playing baseball for my school or just playing a pick-up game, you can count on me to be a team player because that's what baseball and other team sports are about- the team.
