Jake Duke '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jacob "Jake" Duke, and I am a 6'4" left-handed pitcher with a 4.0 GPA. I am almost finished with my junior year of high school and I would like to play college baseball at a program that values both academic and athletic excellence. I am currently working hard in the gym and in my nutrition to add strength and size to complement my frame, improve my performance on the mound and keep developing as a complete pitcher at the next level. I would be a good candidate for any team because I am coachable, team-oriented and motivated to keep improving my skills every day. I challenge myself in the classroom with advanced coursework and I bring the same work ethic and discipline to baseball that I do to the classroom. What sets me a part from other recruits is I am mentally tough both in the classroom and on the mound. I have been trusted as both a starter and a closer, and I take pride in being a pitcher who can handle high pressure situations - whether that means setting the tone early in a game or shutting the door late. My coaches rely on me because I stay calm, focused and competitive no matter the situation.
