Max pitching 2020
Max hitting 2020My name is Max Hansmann, and I love to play baseball. For as long as I can remember, I have spent my free time playing baseball, watching baseball and analyzing baseball. My parents took me to my first baseball game when I was 2 months old, and my earliest memories include hitting balls with my older brother in our backyard batting cage and playing home run derby at the local school field. I have played organized baseball since I was five years old and am currently a starter on both my high school and travel teams. While my two primary positions are shortstop and pitcher, I can play anywhere on the field.
As I look ahead to my college career, I know I want a great education, while continuing to play the sport that I love. I am motivated, competitive and a great leader and teammate. Whether I am playing baseball or spending time with my family, coaches or teammates, I always bring positive vibes and energy. I have been a 3 sport athlete during my high school career, playing baseball, football (quarterback and kicker), basketball (freshman year) and diving (sophomore and junior years). I was elected captain of my football team and coached both a youth travel baseball team and YMCA basketball team during this past year.
The strong work ethic I have in baseball and other extracurriculars carries into my schoolwork as well. I am especially proud of the academic success I have worked so hard to achieve, including my 4.45 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and very challenging course schedule.
I know that I will be a positive addition to a college program looking for baseball players with a strong skillset and high character who could have a direct impact on the team. Baseball brings me joy and a sense of pride, and I know I can contribute that, along with my competitive personality, to your clubhouse. I hope you consider me for your team. Thank you.
