October 2016
September 2016I have played many sports throughout my childhood and high school years from baseball to soccer, football and track. However ever since I was a little kid in tee-ball, baseball has always been my favorite sport. From sitting in the outfield waiting for the ball, to making my first travel team, baseball has always had a sweet spot in my heart. Baseball gives me the opportunity to put it all out there and challenges me to do my best on and off the field. I am an above average student who works hard academically sometimes with obstacles that challenge my strengths and encourages me to face my weaknesses but always trying to achieve the results that will make me excel to be a better student. To play at the collegiate level will be a dream come true for me. My aspirations and goals at the collegiate level are to have a spot in the starting rotation for pitching and eventually to move on to the minor and major leagues. Moreover, to receive a quality education in my field of study to one day help secure my need to find a job in the future and make a positive contribution to society. I'm a good candidate for your team because I love the game and want it to be a vital part of my life. When I commit to something I am all in even through the ups and downs of it all. I'm a lefty pitcher and to me that means it is more difficult to navigate in a "righty" world which adds to my competitiveness and determination to be the strongest player I can be to play the best game I can. My character on and off the field doesn't differ. I'm a fun guy to be around and a serious person when things get close. I play for myself, my team, the competition and the camaraderie but most of all for the love of the game.
