Cameron Patten '25 Recruiting Profile

My goal at this point in my life is to find the best college fit for my academic and athletic abilities. I want to attend a school where I can make the biggest difference while challenging myself. I have a team first mentality. My actions and attitudes on and off the field create a positive look on my organization. One thing that sets me apart from other recruits is respect. I respect the game of baseball; this is a belief that is often neglected by my generation. I also have mental toughness when things don't go my way; for example, instead of putting my head down after a strikeout and emitting bad energy to the team, I give my teammates the information I have gained on the pitcher to give them a better chance at the plate.

 My dad has influenced my life the most and he is my role model. He grew up having nothing but a dream for baseball--a dream we share together. Without much guidance, he has worked through tribulations to give me a chance to chase my dream and I will always be grateful for him; he's my hero. Through playing baseball I have discovered that I love helping other people be the best that they can be. I also have learned to be very competitive in everything I do from sports to academics and more. Being a player and supporter of a small town baseball team has taught me to push through losses and always reach for something bigger.

My hope is that this short writing provides an overview of my character and that your school/team is interested in getting to know me more fully. I thank you for your time and consideration; I'm looking forward to further interactions.
