Personal Statement
I can't imagine my life without baseball. I've played for as long as I can remember and it has always been my favorite activity. Baseball has taught me many lessons that I will follow for the rest of my life. The most important lesson to me has to be that hard work and repetition beats talent any day. Almost every single day, I go to my backyard with a bucket of balls, my bat, and batting gloves and I just soft toss myself baseballs. I've been doing this for about 2 years and my swing has become tremendously better. I hit for more power and square the ball up more frequently.
Baseball is not the only sport I play. I play on the football team and the wrestling team. The extra efforts I put in to these sports have lead me to earn the JV Player of the Year of 2019 for football and to receive the Most Improved award for 2019 for the wrestling team. I also advanced to regionals for wrestling the same year and it was only my second year wrestling.
In my future, I hope to start my own business. I hope to attend a college with a great economics program to ready me for the challenges of business. I feel that my willingness to put in extra work will be the ultimate aid for becoming a great businessman and an even greater ball player.
