Christian Leone '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Christian Leone from Nobleton, Ontario (Canada) and I’ve played Baseball since I was six years old including the last 5 plus years playing on Provincial Travel Teams. I also have completed my first two years on my Varsity High School team (second year as a starter). I consider myself an athletic middle infielder with exceptional range and a disciplined hitter as a result of the majority of my at bats as a leadoff hitter.

I attend St. Michaels College School (SMCS) currently as a High School Junior and have begun planning for life after High School. I started SMCS in middle school and have been on Honor Roll every year with a GPA of 4.0 (currently 3.8 NCAA equivalent) and have balanced my academic time with athletic and volunteer/leadership opportunities.

My main position on my school and travel teams is Shortstop where I was named captain for both the 15U & 16U Ontario Blue Jays and started 12 of 16 games for our Varsity team at SMCS as a Freshman. I enjoy the challenge of every situation on the diamond and pride myself in taking a leadership role while on the field by motivation my teammate in tough situations.

As I plan for life after High School, I have begun to research Universities which best fit my academic and athletic goals.  I plan on taking the SAT for the first time sometime later this year and would like to pursue a post secondary education in either Business Management or Kinesiology.

I believe my commitment to balancing my education and playing my passionate sport over the last 5 years will make the adjustment to my post secondary experience with a highly competitive school a smooth and successful transition.
