Jayden Arocho '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jayden Arocho, and I am currently a 11th-grade student at EJ King High School in Sasebo, Japan. I’ve lived in Japan since I was five years old, and my baseball journey began with a Japanese club team during elementary school. Over four years with that team, I had the honor of competing in two All Japan National Tournaments, winning two state titles, and securing multiple regional and local championships. I was also named MVP in one of the regional tournaments.

In junior high, I continued playing with a Japanese club team for three more years, further developing my skills and understanding of the game. During this time, our team won the state tournament, marking another milestone in my baseball career.

Last year, as a Sophomore, I earned a spot on the varsity baseball team at EJ King High School. I was honored to be named the starting pitcher for our first game of the season. Our team competed against schools from Japan, Korea, and Guam, finishing second in the PAC East Baseball Tournament with only two losses all season. I was the only freshman selected to the All Far East Team. Additionally, I made the varsity basketball team as a freshman.

My playing style is defined by strong defensive instincts, a sharp eye for pitching, and a deep respect for coaching. I take pride in performing under pressure and maintaining consistency throughout the season. Beyond technical ability, I’m known for my leadership, teamwork, and positive attitude—qualities I believe are just as vital as individual performance.

My dedication to baseball goes beyond the field. I commit several hours each week to training and conditioning to stay in peak physical shape. I actively seek feedback from coaches and teammates to refine my skills and adapt to different playing styles. My preparation includes weight training, running, and a constant drive to improve.
