I was raised in a family of athletes. My mom, grandpa, aunts and uncles played college sports. One of my uncles played 10 years in the MLB and coached division 1 baseball. I grew up watching him and attending games all over the country. These people and experiences contributed to my love of baseball.
Growing up I was a multi-sport athlete and a starter at everything I played. As I approached high school I fell behind on the growth and weight charts. Sports were more of a challenge being one of the smallest kids. I started to think I wouldn’t be able to play at the college level, but then from freshman to junior year I grew 8 inches and increased my weight by 50 pounds in the weightroom.
As I enter my senior year of high school, I am focusing on baseball and my desire to major in the medical field.
