I have been playing baseball since I was 2 years old, and have a lot of experience in and around the game of baseball. I am always trying to learn something new about baseball and in the classroom. I try to take the things people say like "you're not good enough" or "you've got a better chance at getting struck by lightening than to play baseball at a high level" into motivation and try to prove them wrong.
I feel like the people who tell you you cannot reach your goals are just jealous that they settled or were not as confident as you and do not want you to succeed because they did not, and they are afraid that if you reach your goals but they did not then it would make them feel like they did not put i the work and it is their fault that they did not get as far as they wanted to.
I value being polite and using good manners such as "yes sir", "no sir", "please", and "thank you" and believe that that will only do you good in the long run. I believe respect is one of those things where you have to give it to get it, and if someone shares a mutual respect with you that you will be able to communicate with them better and work together better as a team.
I understand that baseball is a team game and having a good relationship with your teammates will help you play better as a team on the field. I know that coaches like to win, and I am willing to put in the work and work together with my teammates to help the team win.
