Personal Statement
I have grown up playing baseball since I was 4 and have always had a passion for the game. I grew up being a utility player which has provided me a wide array of experience in multiple positions. Currently, I am playing Shortstop on my High School and Summer Select Team. I have always been a strong defensive player, an asset to the infield and batting lineup.
Academics are very important to me. I continue to excel in the classroom and pride myself in my schoolwork, as much as I do my athletic achievements. I am a well-rounded, well-liked individual both on and off the field… a positive influence with my class mates and team mates.
Growing up I have worked with and continue to work with previous MLB hitting and pitching instructors, allowing me to further my knowledge and learn valuable skills. I’ve been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to play baseball in various areas like Cooperstown, Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, Grand Park and Tennessee in addition to several local colleges.
I come from a good family with strong Christian values and good work ethic who have influenced me to be who I am today. I am a dedicated, loyal team mate and work hard at everything I compete in. I will continue to persevere and conduct myself with honor and respect on & off the field. I am coachable, always eager to listen and learn to help me grow mentally and physically, so I can continue to better my game. I am excited for the opportunity to play at the college level and feel I would be an asset to my team.
“But as for you, be strong, and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” 2 Chronicles 15:7
