YOUNG PROSPECTS TO FOLLOW + 2026 LHP/1B Alex Scheuermann (St. Martin's Episcopal) We last saw the St. Martin's product at our Baton Rouge Fall ID, just a couple of months ago, and he's made some significant strides in just a short couple of months. Scheuermann showed increased bat speed at the plate, driving several balls to the pull-side with a max exit velocity of 92 mph, which was good for a +5 mph jump from October. On the mound, he's very sound mechanically and repeats a smooth and easy delivery with little effort. His FB sat 80-81 mph and he was able to command it to both sides of the plate, while also showing the ability to land all of his off-speed offerings. 2026 Alex Scheuermann (St. Martin’s Episcopal) Made some nice jumps over the fall. Smooth, controlled delivery & located all 4 pitches well. Again asked to participate with the East Coast Sox organization. Pitched one game. 3.1 innings, 4 K, 3 unearned runs. Played 1B and OF in all four games and was on base with all at-bats except two. It was a pretty successful week.
