Personal Statement
I'm Britt Jordan and I am a 5'11" 195 lb. Senior catcher from West Monroe High School in West Monroe, LA. I have been in love with this game since I first picked up a bat as a toddler and I don't see that changing any time soon. As a younger player, I tried my hand at almost every position in the field, but spent most of my time in the outfield. I loved learning to play every position because I didn't care where I was on the field as long as I was playing was all that mattered to me. I started pitching at 9 years old and it seemed to come natural to me in a physical sense, but after a few years, I found myself behind the plate and, quite literally, knew that I was home. Being a catcher speaks to the very core of who I am on and off of the field. The responsibility of being a catcher is what drives me to be the best player and teammate that I can be every time I step out on the field and pushes me to play each game better and harder than the one before. My goal is to continue to play and grow in my position as long as I possibly can and strive to be an asset to any team that I may be a part of in the future. I want my story to be one of hard work, dedication, and leadership. I want there to be no doubt that I come to play and that I will give 100% to my team and will leave everything that I have on the field.
