My name is Ben DeBiase and I am currently a student of the 2021 graduating class at Mt. Abram Regional High School in Salem, Maine. As a freshman, my speed, ability to hit for contact, above average fielding capability, and my knowledge of the game secured me a spot as the varsity starting shortstop for my High School and travel baseball team. I strive for greatness in everything I do, from in the classroom, to extracurricular activities, as well as on the diamond. My whole life it has been a dream of mine to play baseball at a collegiate level, and I know that to succeed, I would need to work hard every chance I get, and stay focused on my goals. The past 3 years, I have been starting shortstop on my High School, Babe Ruth, and local Legion team, as well as hitting in the leadoff, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th spot consistently. Along with infield, I also started and closed multiple games on the mound, earning myself the lowest High School team ERA my Sophomore year. My personal characteristics such as self discipline, team leadership, and a positive and level-headed attitude make me stand out to any team I play for or face. Baseball is a lifestyle to me, and I am ready to work hard at the next level.
