I am a 6'2" three sport athlete who is seeking to be a one sport athlete in the sport I have played since I was four. Academically, I am a solid student, earning As and Bs my junior year and am taking two AP courses senior year.
Why do I seek to play college baseball?
- - I am a life-long player who is passionate about the game; I estimate I’ve played over 450 games
- - I love to compete and perform. Offensively, last year I led our 18-2 team in home runs (5) and earned a batting average above 400.
What’s unique about my candidacy? Why consider me?
I have deep versatility as an athlete:
- - I won two state championships in other sports during my youth career: first as a freestyle swimmer and three years ago as a soccer player.
- - I earned a varsity letter in football starting sophomore year, playing on both sides of the line. Last season I accumulated the most minutes played by a junior and distinguished myself at wide receiver, completing the most catches and yards on the team, including three touchdowns.
- Although I play mostly SS and 2nd base, I also see time as a closing pitcher and can compete as a catcher.
What can I contribute to the team and culture?
- - Baseball IQ, camaraderie, and commitment to the game, team, and school
- - Bench spirit, chatter, energy, and good vibes – capable of raising enthusiasm
- - No ego, position versatility, willing to earn a spot at any position
